As part of the links being forged by the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum and other similar cultural organisations, over the three-year period from 1995-1997, the museum was twinned with:

•  The museum dedicated to Czech composer Bohuslav Martinû in Polička, the Czech Republic;

• The Paul Valéry Museum in Sète, France;

• The Juan Ramón Jiménez Museum in Moguer, Spain.
